and Wilhelm Schweizer Pewter, owned and operated by Skip and Mona Fisher.
During one of our many trips to Germany, we visited the "Toy Town" of Seiffen and the workshop of Mueller Kleinkunst aus dem Erzgebirge. We were fascinated by the tradition of the Erzgebirge wooden folklore. In the Mueller production were 1 to 4-tier pyramids, window arches, flower children and music boxes. What made them so attractive was their combination of natural woods to achieve different colors, rather than the use of paint. That visit, in 1995, is when we became "collectors" and the Fisher home started to take on the look of a Seiffen home at Christmas time…lighted arches in every window and candle driven pyramids decorating every available space. In 1999, we were approached by Manfred and Hilde Rudolph to assume the role of the U.S. Importers for Wilhelm Schweizer Zinnfiguren (pewter figures). With this opportunity, we began Alexander International, LLC…attending gift shows, creating a wholesale website and enlarging the business. In 2003, we were proud to add to our growing business, as we became the American representative for our friends, the Mueller Family. We feel fortunate to be part of this rich German heritage.
